Syrians stream from their war-torn country into Iraq's Kurdistan region

The above picture is of Mohamed, his wife Fatima, and daughter Maysaa. A sponsorship application for the family is in process. Fatima is the daughter of a Syrian family in Thorncliffe Park who came as refugees almost 2 years ago, having to leave behind their two adult children, Hayan and Fatima. Hayan's family (see picture below) is also awaiting approval of the sponsorship application.
